Non-settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, sourced from ancient times and of intergovernmental importance  for more than 20 years, is the most serious problem to Azerbaijan, a leading member of the new world order. Unfortunately, the situation remains unchanged though the UN Security Council adopted 4 resolutions on the settlement of the conflict, other international organizations and institutes recognized Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and took a fair position concerning the solution of the conflict. The efforts by OSCE Minsk group co-chairs did not bring to either significant changes or a fair outcome. Statements made by co-chairs, which usually speak paradoxically, are not based on international law. In this case, hopes for the fair settlement of the conflict fade and the danger of war is not excluded. 

Though Azerbaijan takes fast steps in the solution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, Armenia’s unfair and destructive approach makes any agreement impossible. Besides, the ceasefire regime, periodically broken by the Armenian armed forces, includes the mysterious aspects of the Armenian side. Achieving the solution of the conflict would be much more successful choice for the country, face to face with a mass migration of population, hunger and misery. Azerbaijan has repeatedly declared if the conflict is resolved, it can involve Armenia in the regional projects to help improve its socioeconomic prosperity. But relying on certain support, Armenia does not quit its partial position. Armed shootings intensified lately put the possibility of any agreement or negotiation with Armenia under doubt. Armenian diversion happened at the front, while the country is covered with domestic political and economic crisis, indicates to the certain forces interested in the non-resolution of the conflict. However, the fight Azerbaijan carries out thanks to its hero sons once again proves our republic is always ready for the reality of war. It was proved by brave fighters of Azerbaijan, who made the enemy keep silence, by their military maneuvers. The sabotage disclosed the destructive attitude of Armenia. The confident struggle of Azerbaijan, humanist behavior with the Armenian captive, and on the other hand huge loss of the Armenian side once more demonstrated the reality of Azerbaijan. The position of Azerbaijan does not mean a new war, shedding blood, however the necessary circumstances do not exclude the alternative of war.
