From the very beginning of establishment, Heydar Aliyev Foundation attaches special importance to providing the international community with the real essence of realities of Azerbaijan, Armenian aggression to our country, the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Concerning this, Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of the Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO, said in her speech: “… bringing all these realities, facts and the true reasons and consequences of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the notice of the international community, as well as exposing lie and fabrications disseminating by the Armenian diaspora, has always been the most important part of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation`s activities.”

Giving comprehensive information on the specific style and traditions of the Karabakh mugham school as a necessary part of Azerbaijani art of mugham, publications talking about the realities of Karabakh, activities for promotion and propaganda of the Khojaly genocide are the priorities in the Foundation’s work. “Justice to Khojaly” campaign launched in 2008 at the initiative of Vice President of the Foundation Leila Aliyeva plays an important role to disclose the lies of Armenians. Exhibitions and other events organized in different countries as part of the campaign speak about the realities of Azerbaijan. Publication of such books as music album “Singers of Karabakh”, which features the art of mugham of Azerbaijan in Azerbaijani, Russian, English and French, series and collection of booklets “True Facts about Garabagh” to raise international awareness of the realities about Karabakh, the integral part of Azerbaijan, “War and Our Historical Cultural Monuments”, “War against Azerbaijan: Targeting Cultural Heritage”, which was published in Paris in English, “Collection of manuscripts about mugham” was a significant tool to inform the international community of atrocities committed by Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh, an inseparable land of Azerbaijan, occupation of our lands, destruction of our historical cultural monuments in these territories.

The Foundation’s activities towards the promotion of Azerbaijan’s rich history, realities of Karabakh provide impartial and correct information. Just as result of this rational policy the realities of Azerbaijan are delivered to the world today, the public, political and cultural landscape of our country is propagandized on the high level.
