Our state policy, set by the national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev for the future development of our people, actively involves Azerbaijanis in the processes ongoing in the homeland and helps them be organized by bringing them together around the unified nationwide idea. These ideas serve first of all the protection of independence of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is the contribution of history to Azerbaijanis all around the world, the strengthening of our state politically and economically, the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh problem and the liberation of our lands of occupation. About the key targets of the ideology of Azerbaijanism great leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of this ideology, said: “Every Azerbaijani can now feel pride that I am Azerbaijani, I have a nation, a state, a country. It does not matter where I live, in Switzerland, Germany or France, my people have an independent state and I have a place among the world nations. This is the biggest achievement the Azerbaijani nation gained in late the century.”

Azerbaijanism is an ideology for the future generations, for the eternity of our national statehood. In short, bringing Azerbaijanis across the world together around the unified idea the ideology of Azerbaijanism, created by Heydar Aliyev, leads them towards a successful future, a closer solidarity, a strong and developed statehood of Azerbaijan.  

President Ilham Aliyev has repeatedly declared that our compatriots should have come together for our common interests, and to go forward significant steps will be taken on the basis of the achievements obtained by national leader Heydar Aliyev: “That was the idea of President Heydar Aliyev to distribute the ideology of Azerbaijanism among Azerbaijanis all over the world as a uniting value, safeguard and develop our language, culture, progressive traditions, history. I think, as an important term for cultural and moral solidarity of our compatriots in the globe, this idea will be the basis to our policy today and in the future as well.”

Today, every Azerbaijani should keep devotion to the ideology of Azerbaijanism, set by national leader of our people Heydar Aliyev and embodying our national solidarity, strive for the development of our independent state.
