The successes of the Republic of Azerbaijan, which is assessed as a regional leader and has a specific place in the world order, are the result of the activity of the leader able to make correct decisions. Not only the ability of building a state makes a state and a nation strong. It also requires a leader able to protect a state, ensure national unity and defend a place and position of state on the world map. New political problems demand new approaches, leaders able to influence the stories in a new format. And this requires a political creativity, innovation, practicality, foresight from leaders. Political leaders not possessing these qualities cause not stability in the national and global scales, but a tension, drive the universe into unknown dangers. Leadership should base on such a thesis: “Real policy, concrete activity.”

The analysis of Azerbaijan, which is at the entrance of a new history, 20-year phase of its independence, numerous factors having created this history, in particular a factor “national construction and political leader” shows that a national construction is not a status created from declaration on independence, on the basis of a decree. A political leader is the result of the union of people, national initiative, a complicated and selfless national construction process. Governed by the outcomes of the past years, it can be said with confidence that the principle of serving a nation honestly has become a key direction in the policy pursued by President Ilham Aliyev. The head of state successfully continued the political line, which provided a serious basis to a rapid socioeconomic development, political stability, civic peace. The achievements obtained over the past years, thanks to the recognition of President Ilham Aliyev as a reformist leader and his exceptional organizational skills, unambiguously demonstrate the high adherence to the principle of legacy in the leadership activity. 

The factors mentioned evidently show the realization of leadership qualities in the person of President Ilham Aliyev from the viewpoint of the analysis of Azerbaijan’s realities. These distinctive features guarantee the durability of Ilham Aliyev’s leadership. It is not by accident that demonstrating a concrete activity on the basis of the philosophy of leadership the head of state has justified the confidence of the people, which logically confirmed that the President is invincible and has no alternative.
