“Results of the 48th Baku meeting of the special working group for drafting a convention on the legal status of the Caspian Sea at the level of deputy foreign ministers of the Caspian littoral states are satisfactory. Agreement was reached on principal points on the legal status of the Caspian Sea,” Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov told.

Khalaf Khalafov noted that the event decided to hold meetings of the working group and ministers of foreign affairs in Ashgabat.

He expressed his hope that the meeting of foreign ministers will yield tangible results.

“The 4th summit of the heads of state of the Caspian littoral states is expected to be held in Astana,” Khalafov added.
