President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of the newly renovated Kurdamir-Ujar-Yevlakh section of the Baku-Alat-Qazakh-Georgia state border highway en route to Mingachevir.
Azeryolservis chairman Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state that the Baku-Alat-Qazakh-Georgia state border highway is 503km in length. The renovated Kurdamir-Ujar-Yevlakh section of the road is 87.5km in length. The highway is 27,5 metres in width.
Four road junctions and five hydraulic bridges were built as part of the project.
Twenty-five underground passages, 39 rectangular installations, 124 water pipes, and 16 bus stations were built along the road.
The head of state cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening of the road.
