Azerbaijan`s first lady, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, MP Mehriban Aliyeva has submitted a bill on “Amnesty Act” to the Parliament on the occasion of 28 May – Republic Day, first vice-speaker Ziyafat Asgarov told the Parliament’s plenary meeting.

Asgarov said that if passed, the Amnesty Act would apply to 10,000 people, of which 3,500 people will be released from prison.

First Deputy Speaker Asgarov said this is the fourth time Azerbaijan`s first lady Mehriban Aliyeva submits an Amnesty Act bill to the Parliament.
