President Ilham Aliyev received delegation led by chairman of Turkey's Supreme Court of Appeal

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by chairman of the Supreme Court of Appeal of the Republic of Turkey Ismail Rustu Cirit.

President Ilham Aliyev recalled with pleasure his participation in the 13th Summit of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) recently held in Istanbul.

The head of state described the high-level representation of the Islamic countries in this event as a manifestation of their attitude towards Turkey. President Ilham Aliyev noted that his meetings with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu were fruitful.

Chairman of the Supreme Court of Appeal of Turkey Ismail Rustu Cirit said the relations between the two friendly and fraternal countries were developing successfully in all areas, adding the people of Turkey appreciate this. He noted that national leader Heydar Aliyev`s “one nation, two states” saying, which reflects the Azerbaijani-Turkish brotherhood, demonstrated the level of relations between the two countries and peoples. Ismail Rustu Cirit offered condolences to President Ilham Aliyev over the martyrdom of Azerbaijani servicemen in the latest developments on the line of contact of troops in the Nagorno-Karabakh, and wished those wounded the soonest possible recovery. He said Turkey had always stood by Azerbaijan in the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

At the meeting, the sides noted that the successful cooperation between the judicial systems of the two countries contributed to the expansion of the bilateral ties even further.
