Associate dean of the Los Angeles-based Simon Wiesenthal Center Rabbi Abraham Cooper has hailed multiculturalism and tolerance traditions in Azerbaijan as he met with the country`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov.

He praised the level of religious tolerance in Azerbaijan as excellent, particularly conditions created for Jews.

Mammadyarov said Jews have lived peacefully along with representatives of other religious confessions in Azerbaijan for centuries.

They also exchanged views over global and regional issues.
