Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Association Leyla Aliyeva has attended the official reception organized as part of the COP21 Climate Change Conference in Paris.
The official reception was organized by the Ministry for Ecology, Sustainable Development and Energy of France. President of French Republic Francois Hollande attended the event.
COP21, known as the 2015 Paris Climate Conference, was, for the first time in over 20 years of UN negotiations, aim to achieve a legally binding and universal agreement on climate.
France played a leading international role in hosting this seminal conference, and COP21 was one of the largest international conferences ever held in the country. The conference attracted close to 50,000 participants including 25,000 official delegates from government, intergovernmental organisations, UN agencies, NGOs and civil society.
