The flame of the First European Games has arrived in Naftalan from Goranboy.

At the symbolic gate of the European Games in the region, the flame was handed to employee of Naftalan City Executive Authority Tural Mammadov. Ten torchbearers then started their 4km long route and carried the flame into Heydar Aliyev Park to the sound of wild applause.

Coach of Naftalan Children and Youth Sports School Fuad Aliyev lit a special commemorative lamp which will remain lit and on display in Naftalan until the Closing Ceremony of the Games.

The event featured demonstration of a footage highlighting a ceremony to light the flame of the Baku 2015 First European Games in Ateshgah temple.
