“The resolutions of the UN Security Council on the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict must be fulfilled,” Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa said during his meeting with an Azerbaijani delegation, who are on a visit to Uruguay, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry told.

The minister affirmed that the conflict must be resolved in compliance with international law.

“One country’s invasion of another’s territory is inadmissible, and the principle of territorial integrity has to be followed in settling the conflict,” said Rodolfo.

Note that, there were reports early this year of former FM of Uruguay, Luis Almagro, allegedly calling the international community for the recognition of Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state. On 1 March 2015, Rodolfo Nin Novoa took over the position of foreign minister.
