SOCAR comments on reports that European Commission will not to approve agreement regarding acquisition of 66 percent share of DESFA

President of State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has commented on reports that European Commission will not to approve agreement regarding acquisition of 66 percent share of DESFA.

Abdullayev noted that these investigations are a normal process: “This process is more complicated in EU member states. As Greece is member of EU, we also must go through this procedure. Relevant works are underway. Greece more needs this project. Otherwise, there are a lot of places for investment and more profitable projects. However, Greece is already interested in this project”.
