V1 Challenge Azerbaijan - delight, victory and great interest

On Oct. 11, the Azerbaijani capital of Baku hosted for the first time ever the presentation show of the V1 Challenge Azerbaijan competition, organized by the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation.

The presentation show was viewed by the first lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva, the Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva.

The show in the Baku Crystal Hall was sold out, and the audience greeted it with high interest and admiration. During the competition the drivers performed unusual tricks for the audience.

French racer Anthoine Hubert came in first in the competition, which involved 14 drivers from 12 countries. German driver Harald Muller and Lebanese driver Abdo Feghali took second and third places respectively.

Azerbaijani racer Adil Akhundov came in fourth among the 12 countries’ contestants.

The V1 Challenge Azerbaijan is a project aimed at developing the motor sport in Azerbaijan.

As part of the show, the Azerbaijan Automobile Federation will soon organize an exhibition of classic car show series, featuring various retro cars.

The exhibition will be held in the near future in the Heydar Aliyev Center.
