President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, who is on a working visit to Astrakhan, has today met with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Hassan Rouhani.

The presidents stressed the successful development of bilateral relations between Azerbaijan and Iran in various spheres and noted the importance of high-level meetings in terms of strengthening bilateral relations.

The sides also exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in political, economic, energy, transport and other spheres.
