Azerbaijani Defense Minister, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov received the Chief of the Croatian Armed Forces General Staff Lieutenant General Drago Lovric on Sept. 11 at the Baku Expo Center.
Lovric arrived in Azerbaijan to attend the ADEX 2014 - Azerbaijan International Defence Industry Exhibition, according to a message from Azerbaijan’s Defense Ministry.
During the meeting the parties exchanged views on the military and political situation in the regions where the two states are located. They also mulled military-technical and security issues.
Colonel General Hasanov also received the Chairman of the Pakistani National Engineering and Scientific Commission (NESCOM) Muhammad Irfan Burney, who also arrived in Baku to take part in the ADEX 2014.
During the meeting, Azerbaijani defense minister noted that the military cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan is built upon friendly relations, and these relations are constantly developing and mutually beneficial to both sides.
The NESCOM chairman, for his part, expressed satisfaction with his visit, and stressed the need for such meetings to strengthen the Azerbaijani-Pakistani ties.
During the meeting, the parties also mulled other issues of mutual interest.
An extended meeting with a delegation led by Malaysia’s Deputy Defence Minister Datuk Abdul Rahim Bakri was also held as part of the ADEX 2014.
During the meeting, they exchanged views on bilateral ties and other issues of mutual interest.
On the same day, Minister Hasanov met with a delegation headed by Major General Igor Lotenkov, the Belarusian Deputy Defence Minister for Armament.
