During a phone conversation on Aug. 12, Recep Tayyip Erdogan who won the recent presidential election in Turkey, and Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili supported the deepening of bilateral relations between their countries.
Georgian presidential administration told Trend that Margvelashvili congratulated Erdogan on his victory in the presidential election.
During the meeting, a special attention was paid to joint projects of Georgia, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Margvelashvili and Erdogan also called for continuing cooperation in this format and for the further development of these relations.
The sides also touched upon the topic of the upcoming NATO Wales Summit. Margvelashvili thanked Erdogan for Turkey's support in Georgia's integration into the NATO.
