President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has today attended the opening of “Norm” cement plant in Garadagh district of Baku.

The Head of State viewed photo stands in the administrative building reflecting the participation of Heydar Aliyev in the openings of industrial facilities during the Soviet period and the years of independence, as well as care and attention paid to this area.

Familiarizing with the libratory and control center of the enterprise, the Azerbaijani President was informed about the state of the plant and cement market in the country. Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev said the plant has a capacity that allows it to produce 5 tonnes of clinker per day and 2 million tonnes of cement per year. 350 people were employed in the enterprise.

The Head of State launched the plant and observed the production process.
At the end, President Aliyev met with the plant staff.
