President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has received a delegation led by the chairman of Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kabybulla Jakupov.
Jakupov conveyed greetings on behalf of Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev. Jakupov stressed the importance of interparliamentary relations in the expansion of the cooperation between the countries. He noted the significance of the establishment of the Center after national leader of the Azerbaijani people Heydar Aliyev in the Eurasian University of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the sides noted that the bilateral ties between Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan had been developing successfully. The parties noted the importance of mutual support of the countries in international organizations. The sides praised the relations between the countries in the economic, transport, cooperation in the Caspian Sea, agricultural, humanitarian and other fields. The parties especially noted the role of high-level meetings between the presidents in the strengthening of the bilateral bonds.
During the conversation, the sides said the Baku meeting of the Council of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic Speaking Countries would be fruitful in terms of strengthening the cooperation.
President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the greetings of the Kazakh counterpart and asked the chairman to communicate his greetings to the President of Kazakhstan.
