Iranian, Azeri companies hold serious energy talks

Iranian and Azeri oil and gas companies held serious talks to expand their cooperation on the sidelines of the 21st International 2014 Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition, IRNA reported.
A total of 10 Iranian companies active in oil and gas projects are attending the 21st International 2014 Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition in the Azeri capital.
"This is the first time that the Iranian companies in such number and jointly take part in Azerbaijan's oil and gas exhibition and the evidence indicate the success of the talks so that over 60 percent of the Iranian firms participating the exhibition have reached the stage of draft agreement," Coordinator for Iranian companies participating in the exhibition Amir Zand said on Saturday.
An interview by IRNA correspondent with managers of Iranian companies attending the exhibition indicated that they are satisfied with the trend of negotiations and also broadening of bilateral ties which would pave the way for presence of Iranian firms in the big market of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
